My husband has PD and is taking Carbidopa/Levodopa, Namenda and the exelon patch.I have been reading about prevagen and am wondering if it is something he should try. Would it be save to try it in conjuction with his other medication. Is there any evidence that prevagen is helpful for PD patients?Thank you.

Prevagen is sold over the counter as a nutritional supplement and supposedly improves brain efficiency. It is also known as apoaequorin (the protein component of aequorin) and is involved in handling cellular calcium. But like many of these over the counter supplements, there are no human studies to support this claim.
